Illustrated tutorial for making origami carps with dollars, pay attention to the circles. This is not included in the original picture tutorial, so you need to make three more folds. The author draws these creases on paper to make it easier for everyone to find their positions. The actual author of this article: Wang Jiyu77.
First, let’s take a look at the illustrated tutorial of the original foreign carp origami:
Front, only creases
This position is where the yellow mark on the reverse side corresponds
The first step begins
The back of the first step
p>Using peak and valley folds, the mark is the starting position
The back side of the second step
Fold here from the red line
The effect of folding the reverse side
Change the direction and look carefully
The first pleat unfolds, and there is a peak line between the lower pleats
Fold along this line
It’s slightly arched after folding, but I didn’t fold the peak line in the middle
The effect after folding the other side
Looking at it from the other side, it’s a bit warped, isn’t it?
I've been trying to fold this place for a long time, but I still can't fold it.OK
Next, fold it over along the first line
What it looks like after folding
The two yellow lines are both peak lines, the line between the two red dots is also a peak line, and the thin blue line on the right is the peak line of the second pleat
What the sides look like after folding
Turn over and fold it over, this is the fin
Fold the other side in the same way
Both sides are folded, and the fins are folded out
The part of the fish beard
In order to give the fish a three-dimensional effect, the red line is the valley line, fold this part in
Fold it in like this
The effect after folding
Same treatment on the right
The fish head immediately came to life
Now we go one step further and make the fish head more three-dimensional
fold in
Fold both sides in
You have to fold it carefully, along the red line, and fold it in, so as to ensure that the two pleats you just folded do not spread out
Fish Mouth
A close-up of the fishs mouth. To be honest, the fishs mouth is very difficult to break. Its too small and theres no way to do it, so I just pinch it.
It’s better to look at it from a wider angle, ignore the altered part
This beard is also pinched randomly. The fish head is almost done and plastic surgery has begun
First use tweezers to cut out a spine on the back of the fish
Spread the tail, starting from the second pleat, and fold it along the red line
From the top corner of the second fold from the left to the top corner of the third fold, fold along the red line and turn the whole thing up
Open the fish tail on the other side, and also start from the peak line of the second pleat, and fold it along the red line and valley
Counting from right to left, from the top corner of the second pleat to the top corner of the third pleat, fold along the red line and turn under the fish belly
The folding is done, you have to patiently reshape it
The following is an improved version of the dollar carp origami:
In order to get better results, I changed to A4 paper. A4 paper was originally not suitable for folding this fish. It was too soft and broke before it was folded halfway. After changing to larger paper, it was still barely suitable. Can withstand such folding times. Therefore, in order to ensure that it will not be broken and have a more atmospheric effect, I used two pieces of A4 paper and spliced ??them to the size of A3 paper.
Since it is a "Dollar Carp", the pattern of one dollar is essential. After all, the finished product depends on the pattern on it. So I printed it on both sides of A4 paper and enlarged and printed the dollar pattern I downloaded online. The original color didn't look good on A4 paper, so I changed it to a festive rose red. Its hard to tell the size from the photo, so I put a stick of solid glue as a reference size. You can probably imagine how big two pieces of A4 paper are.
Fold the crease
Start using solid glue to shape it. After all, A4 paper will fall apart after folding if it is not shaped.
Let’s take a look at the improvements:
Fishs barbels: The original work is a very wide and flat piece. Viewed from the front, there is no barbel shape. I folded this part again and made it into a thin strip (it must be fixed with glue), which is closer to the real carp. If you add a beard and make it into an "S" shape, it will be more vivid.
Fish Tail: Curling it into a wavy shape can also make the carp more lively.
Size: The original coin folded, the finished product is only about 5 cm in size and can only be played in the palm of the hand; now I use A3 size paper to fold it, the finished product is 20 cm long and can be directly glued to the wall. Three-dimensional wall hanging.
