Spring is here, everything grows. Butterflies are very beautiful animals. There are so many varieties of butterflies. Sometimes I can’t tell what kind of butterfly it is. The more beautiful the butterfly, the more attention it attracts. Today is I want to teach you how to fold butterflies out of dollars. Once you learn how to fold paper butterflies, you can also decorate your own room. Let’s practice our hands-on skills together!
This origami dollar butterfly is called the Currency Tie Butterfly. Because it requires something to tie the two together: like zip ties or floral wire. Cable ties are colored ribbons or plastic thin metal containing wire. It is flexible and is often used to keep bags closed.
Banknotes Butterfly steps:
Part 1: Bottom of Butterfly Wings
Step 1: Start with a crisp dollar bill that has the black side facing up. Folded and unfolded half of dollar bill. This means dividing it into 4 equal parts.
Step 2: Fold and unfold the sections so that the dollar bill is divided into eights.
Step 3: Fold and unfold the sections, so the dollar bill is divided into 16 parts.
Step 4: Flip the dollar bill.
Step 5: Fold and half-unfold each section, so the dollar bill is divided into 32 sections.
Step 6: Compress the dollar bill so that it shortens along the raised crease above.
Throw it out and work for a dollar bill.
Part 2: Above the Butterfly Wings
Step 7: Start with a crisp dollar bill that has the green side facing up. The lower left and right corners of a folded dollar bill.
Step 8: Fold and expand half of the pattern. Fold and unfold the two halves to divide the dollar bill. Open the model.
Step 9: Fold and half-unfold each section so the dollar bill is divided into 3/8s.
Step 10: Compress the dollar bill so that it shortens along the raised crease above.
Step 11: Place the two bills one on top of the other.
Step 12: Use a zip tie or similar device to secure the two dollar bills together. Carefully align the components so that the butterfly is symmetrical.
Step 13: Cut the tie to an even length. Swirl the end of the tie. The torch spreads its wings. The zip tie butterfly is finished!
The lower butterfly shows the green side of the dollar bill. This can be accomplished by flipping a dollar bill at the beginning:
- Green side up for upper wings,
- Black side upLow wings.
