I would like to share another origami tutorial for a plaid heart. It is the same as the folding method just shared in Craftwork [see here], but the small details have changed a bit. If you have any steps that you don’t understand, you can follow them and it should be OK~
Prepare a square piece of paper with different colors or patterns on both sides.
First fold it in half up and down and then in half.
Fold it left and right and then fold it in half again.
After dividing it into four equal parts, fold the paper in half again until it becomes eight equal parts.
With the back facing up, fold the four corners of the paper in half along the diagonal lines of the small square along one large square (2 small squares).
Turn it over and fold it down along the upper eighth line. Do the same with the other three sides. After folding, press it flat.
Turn over again.
Fold the paper along the middle, from the left to the right.
After folding, unfold it and fold the two small grids on the left (one large grid) towards the middle.
Fold the paper from the top and left to the middle, and fold the excess part into a small square.
Press the paper flat, secure it with solid glue, and then turn the paper over again.
Fold the exposed corner in half along the diagonal line.
Fold the top two corners down as well.
The grid heart shape is ready~
