Illustrated method of making carnation origami by DIY

Carnations symbolize love and warmth; in Chinese tradition It is often used as a gift to mothers, teachers and other elders during festivals. But it is not only used for holiday sentiments, it is also very good to fold a carnation and give it to your mother.
Materials to fold carnations: square paper, thin rectangular paper strips, and wire.

Fold in half along one diagonal line to form a crease, unfold and fold in half along the other diagonal line to form a triangle.

Fold the left and right corners in half toward the center crease.

Fold the left and right sides toward the center line again.

Fold both sides towards the midline to make creases , cut off the upper part with scissors.

Open the paper and cut 1cm inward from each recess.

Make six petals in the same way.

Curl one end of the wire and cut the other end from the petals Center through.

Six petals are threaded together to form a flower.

Roll the thin rectangular paper strip into a tube shape and roll the leaves into it , make a flower stalk, as shown in the picture below.

First string the calyx and then put on the pedicel .
