These ultra-creative paper vases are truly stunning, all designed by British designer Laura Cahill. Cahill used a band saw to trim the sides of the book, then unfolded them, while the central host part was wrapped around the test tube, thus creating a clever vase that can hold water.
Obviously, the materials she used were second-hand books that were easily available. “I found that the glue used in these old books made them difficult to recycle,” she explains. Cahill also made a floor lamp out of old books. This is a "reading light" in the true sense!
