National paper-cutting competition held in Zhuanghe City, Dalian
The holding of the National Paper-cutting Competition provides a good communication and learning platform for traditional Chinese paper-cutting techniques and promotes the development of paper-cutting art in my country.

Yesterday, the National Paper-cutting Competition of Chinas Dalian "Charming Zhuanghe" Paper-cutting Tourism Festival and the 60-year Chinese Paper-cutting Representative Tour Exhibition were held in Zhuanghe City, Dalian. Zhang Shuxian, Chairman of the Paper-cutting Art Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, Vice Chairman of the Paper-cutting Art Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, Xu Xu, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Liaoning Culture Promotion Association, as well as relevant leaders of Dalian City and Zhuanghe City and nearly a hundred people from all over the country. The artist participated in the opening ceremony of the competition.
Paper-cut art is an important art form of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and an important part of my countrys intangible cultural heritage. With its unique form of expression, paper-cut art not only carries peoples love for a better life and yearning for the future, but also records folk customs and customs, and is a microcosm of the five thousand years of Chinese civilization. Zhuanghe City is a nationally famous "hometown of paper-cutting". The art of paper-cutting has developed rapidly in recent years, and a number of famous folk paper-cutting artists such as Han Yueqin have emerged. Han Yueqin also knocked on the door of the Olympic Games opening ceremony and many countries around the world with her superb skills, showing Chinese paper-cutting to the world. On that day, in the exhibition hall of Zhuanghe Municipal Cultural Center, more than 300 pieces of traditional folk paper-cutting and modern creative paper-cutting products from all over the country were displayed. At the opening ceremony, a launch ceremony for the book "Auspicious Paper-cutting" by Han Yueqin, a folk artist from Zhuanghe City, was also held. Han Yueqin presented the book to the leaders and guests present. The artists also sat together to discuss and communicate with each other on the topic of "The Development Direction of Chinese Paper-cutting". At the award ceremony of the competition held that day, 10 paper-cutting artists won gold medals, 20 won silver medals, and 30 won bronze medals. It is understood that the competition and touring exhibition will be from September 22 to September 25, during which the artists will also visit the tourist attractions in Zhuanghe City.
