Many people can only fold origami with a single color paper, but in fact, you can also color some origami works. For example, today I will show you some coloring techniques for origami works. The word "Origami" has the word "fold" and the word "paper". It can be seen that in addition to the "folding" technique of origami, the selection of paper is also very important. A good piece of paper can add a lot of points to our works. Next, I will share my experience in processing colored paper, hoping that everyone can process unique and beautiful paper.
The first step is to prepare materials and tools, including paper, paint (acrylic, gouache, watercolor can be used), glue (white latex, paste can be used), brush (large brush, small brush), watering can, paper towel, small plate (The mixed paint is not in the picture) <> Let’s talk about the paper first. Generally, the paper we usually use for origami can be coated, 40gIt is better to reach 80g. The recommended colors are white, black, and raw cowhide. Also, the oil paper is easy to crack or wrinkle when it is too hot to dry, so use with caution. <>Pigment should be mixed with glue and applied together. First, it can make the paper tougher, and second, it can prevent the color from fading. (Watercolor fades very seriously without mixing glue, while gouache fades easily without mixing glue. Acrylic does not fade even without mixing glue.) <> As for glue, from personal experience, if the paper fiber is long, use paste, and if the paper fiber is short, use white latex. Of course, using all white latex will not have much impact. <>The brush is used to brush water and paint. Watering cans are filled with water. Paper towels are used to absorb water or apply paint.
Put the paper (the paper I use here is about 70g Hanyun) on a smooth tabletop and spray enough water. Turn over and spray with water again.
Wait for three minutes. At this time, the paper should be in a wet state. See the picture below for details of the paper soaking stage.
Uncover, resurface and use a large brush to brush away air bubbles and excess water. The paper should be close to the table at this point.
Apply white latex to the four corners. This step is very important to prevent the paper from wrinkling after it dries. (Note: The previous steps of wet processing paper are all like this.)
Use a paper towel to absorb the excess water on the surface (optional for this step)
Here are two coloring methods for your reference
(1) Use paper towels to stick the acrylic paint. The paint here is not mixed with glue or diluted.
The following is Tu Tu Tu
After coating, let it dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer or expose it to the sun. Of course, if you are quick, use a hair dryer and shake it back and forth five times a second to let the paper receive wind evenly. Then just pretend that I didn’t say it is dry and cut it out< /p>
You can fold out a shiny copper turtle
(2) Mix paint in a small dish, 50% watercolor and white latex, and apply it on the paper with a small brush
Finished product I admit that the color is not pretty. . The folding is not very good
