Nippon Nishiki is a finished product of 薬dama origami (= くすだまおりがみ/ medicated tama origami)... medicated tama refers to our ancient sachets... but Japanese origami... there is a type called medicated origami. .. What is folded out... is a three-dimensional sphere... If it is a flower shape... it is a beggar... And brocade is one of the three-dimensional geometric folding methods... In addition to brocade... there are Erlianjin...the folded product...can be regarded as a kind of "original object" in ancient Japan...it takes more than 10 pieces of origami-specific Japanese paper to fold a simple one...and large or complex ones. It requires 50 to 60 sheets of special Japanese paper... So in Japanese origami, Nishiki means not only noble and gorgeous silk fabrics, but also this special folded product.
