There are many shapes of kites, and the most common one we see is the shape of a little swallow. Today we are going to learn how to make a paper-cut swallow kite. Prepare the materials and try making and cutting a paper-cut kite with us, and then go out to the beach or park to pursue the fun of childhood!
Materials needed: A square piece of colored paper or paper, a pattern brush, an eraser and scissors for cutting.
1. Take out the prepared colored paper or paper and fold it in half along the middle line.
2. After folding it in half, you can start to draw the swallow pattern. Start with the outline of the head and wings of the little swallow kite, and then the tail and feathers.
3. Then draw patterns on the head and chest of the little swallow to decorate the paper-cut swallow kite. Here we can also draw the eyes and mouth of the little swallow.
4. After sketching the pattern, we can then use a pencil to draw hatching lines to mark the parts that need to be cut out to avoid cutting the wrong parts.
5. Next, we can pick up the prepared scissors and start cutting the swallow kite. Remember to cut the scissors marked with YinCut off all the hatched parts in sequence.
6. Then cut off all the parts outside the outline of the swallow pattern, and the swallow kite paper-cutting is completed.
7. Finally, it’s time to witness the miracle. Unfold the cut swallow kite slowly, and a finished paper-cut swallow kite is revealed.
