Lucky heart folding method
- 1This folding method requires a thinner piece of paper. The strip should be approximately 2.5cm wide and 28cm long.
- There is no need to be critical about the size of the paper strips. You can also use wider or shorter paper strips to fold lucky hearts. However, the length of the paper strip should be at least 7 or 8 times the width.
- Place the paper strips so that the long side is the length and the short side is the width of the paper strips.
- 2Fold the lower left corner upward and align it with the top edge. Fold a 45-degree angle, and fold the lower left corner upward until the previous side and top edges are aligned.
- Press the crease and do not open it again.
- 3Fold a series of these along the paper stripsSuch angles. Use the same method to fold it about 5 to 7 times, each time it should wrap the previously folded triangle.
- As you fold the paper, the remaining strips of paper should get shorter quickly.
- 4Trim the edges. Use scissors to cut off the excess part. The remaining part should be roughly equal to half the width of the folded triangle
- 5Use the same method to fold out a corner on the other side. Fold the lower right corner into the same shape.
- Fold the lower right corner upward and align it with the triangle on the left that you just folded.
- 6Tuck the excess part into the triangle on the left. Bend the upper right corner downwards and tuck it into the triangle that has been folded on the left until it is completely tucked in.
- At the end of this step, you should only have one triangle left in your hand.
- 7Trim the top corners. Turn the triangle over so that the longest side is facing up. Use scissors to cut off the tips of the two corners so that the top corners are less sharp.
- Note that the triangle is already very thick at this time and may not be easy to cut through.
- Note that the longest side should not be the part you just tucked in.
- 8Press a small groove on the top. Use your thumbnail to press a groove in the middle of the top edge. In this way, your lucky heart is completed.
- If you can't make an indent with your thumb, use a hard, long, thin tool, such as the tip of a pen or the closed tips of scissors.
