Everyone yearns to fly, so there has been the myth of Chang'e flying to the moon since ancient times. Now there are airplanes that can fulfill human beings' dream of flying. Do students also want airplanes? Let’s take a look at the illustrated tutorial on how to fold a glider! A glider has a long, narrow wing that is significantly different from an airplane, and the fuselage has a slender, streamlined shape.
I drew the drawings of this glider myself. It was actually measured that the glider slid about 18 meters from the 2nd floor [Breeze]. When flying on the 6th floor, I was afraid that it would not be able to be recovered, so I adjusted the tail to one side and let it circle. , the flight radius is between 15-20M, leaving more than 1 and a half minutes!
Illustrated tutorial on how to fold a glider:
Step 1. Fold a piece of A4 paper in half, and then draw a drawing according to the picture on the folded part
Step 2. Use a utility knife to carve it out
Step 3. Fold according to the fold line above and glue it in place
Step 4. Then cut out a number of cardboard strips to make aircraft reinforcement ribs and counterweights:
The locations where counterweights need to be added are: above the wing, at the root of the wing, above the horizontal tail, at the root of the vertical tail, and on both sides of the fuselage.
Step 5. The picture below shows one of the reinforcing ribs above the wing. Cut 2 slits behind the reinforcing ribs, fold them down, and glue them to the fuselage.

Step 6. After everything is glued, adjust the position of the wings and trim the streamlined shape of the nose.
Step 7. Look pretty~~ It’s not over yet. Make the counterweight below, and cut off a part of the bottom of the nose [which is where the metal rod points]
Step 8. Use cardboard to roll a paper tube of suitable size and put it on. While inserting, check whether the center is at the center of the wing.
The glider is finished. Below is the wind tunnel test diagram of the glider. Act quickly!
