Valentines Day is coming, are you tired of sending roses? Want to create something new and romantic? Today I will teach you how to DIY a heart-shaped photo frame using colorful cardboard, and send your thoughts to that person in particular!
Materials for making a heart-shaped photo frame: scissors, glue, pencil, red, pink, peach and other pink warm-toned cardboard, and background cardboard.
Steps to make your own heart-shaped photo frame:
Step 1: First determine the shape of the heart, take a piece of cardboard, fold it in half and draw half a heart.
Template making, use the same method to make a few more symmetrical hearts of different sizes for later use.
Step 2: Using the heart you just made as a template, you can start to repeat it a few more times with colored cardboard.
First draw all the heart shapes on the cardboard.
Then cut it out carefully, remembering that the most important thing about the shape of the heart is to be symmetrical, so try not to cut it crookedly.
There are 12 hearts in total. Place the hearts staggered first. There will be opportunities for adjustment later. The number of hearts can be increased or decreased by yourself.
Step 3: This step is mainly about decorating the heart. In the picture, squares are cut out one by one like a mosaic and pasted on the heart diagonally.
Long paper strips can be made into striped patterns, and one color or two colors can be pasted on them. We can try them all. diyju.com
You can also use a hole punch to make small dots. The small dots can be pasted evenly, or the small dots can be placed around the edge.
This one is made three-dimensional. Use the other two heart templates from before to cut out hearts of different colors, and then fold them in half. Paste the middle crease in order of size.
The hearts go from big to small, and the colors go from dark to light. They seem random but also have some changes.
Draw two hearts of different sizes on top of the largest heart and cut them with a utility knife. The middle part will be connected without cutting, as shown in the picture.
For the one on the left, just write directly on the heart. I am used to the cut-and-paste method, so I cut it out with paper and then pasted it on. The one on the right uses a smaller heart and sticks it on top of the big heart, and uses sponge glue or paper to raise it in the middle.
The same method as the small dots, just change it to a triangle.
The remaining pieces without decoration can be folded in half or raised.
If you are giving it to someone, you can write the other persons name on one of the love hearts, which is also a nice gesture. Then rearrange the hearts. The colors have just been added to change them. This time, see if you need to adjust the position.
Step 4: After placing it, stick it and fix it. The key is to stagger the dark and light colors for the most comfortable effect. This time, the arrangement is aligned up, down, left and right. If you are afraid it will be crooked, you can first use a pencil to make small marks on the background card paper and then Paste again.
After the production is completed, it can be framed or placed directly, depending on your needs. Of course, it can be better preserved with a frame.
