The tutorial also includes simple heart-shaped folding methods, lucky heart folding methods, and double-sided hearts. For the shape folding method, follow this simple heart-shaped folding method from the production department to learn how to fold a heart shape out of paper.
Simple heart-shaped folding method
- 1Fold a square piece of paper in half. Rotate the paper 90 degrees to form a diamond shape, then fold the top corner down to align with the bottom corner. Make obvious creases before opening.
- An ordinary piece of 15*15 cm origami paper is suitable, but in fact, as long as the four sides are equal, any size of paper can theoretically be used.
- At the beginning, the paper should be arranged at a rhombus angle, not a square. The top and bottom should be two corners, not sides.
- You must reopen the paper and restore the previous diamond shape before you can continue with the following steps.
- 2Fold the square in half along the other direction. Align the left vertex with the right vertex, fold the crease first, and then open it again.
- After this step, you should have a diamond shape in front of you with two vertically intersecting creases. One crease is vertical and the other is horizontal. The intersection of these two folds should be in the center of the paper.
- 3Fold the upper corner to the middle . Fold the top half of the paper down so that the top point meets the center of the paper.
- The center of the paper should also be the intersection of the two creases.
- Fold the top half of the paper and do not open it again this time.
- 4Fold the lower end point to the top edge. Fold the lower end of the paper upward so that the lower end point touches the top edge just formed.
- Press the crease flat and do not open it again.
- After the lower end is folded up, it should completely cover the sharp corner of the upper end, and should be in contact with the newly formed upper edge at the middle line of the entire half of the paper.
- Note that there should be 6 corners at this time: 3 on the left and 3 on the right.
- 5Fold the left and right sides toward the middle crease. Fold the lowest corners of the left and right sides upward to touch the middle of the top edge. Use the same method to fold the bottom corner on the left and align it with the corner just folded on the right.
- The bottom edge folded in the previous step should now be folded into two edges aligned with the vertical line in the middle of the paper.
- Press the two creases flat and do not open them again.
- 6Turn over the folded heart shape. will be discountedA good heart shape that already has a rough outline is turned over. The remaining origami steps are completed on this side.
- This side is the back, and it should look like there is a back now.
- Note that you should have 5 corners at this time: 2 top corners, 2 side corners, and one bottom corner.
- 7Fold these corners. Fold the 2 top corners and 2 side corners inward to make the edges less sharp.
- Fold 2 corners. When folding each time, fold a new corner on the horizontal line of the triangle between the two heart-shaped "heart peaks".
- When folding the two top corners, the size of the folded corners should be roughly equal to the size of the folded corners.
- 8Turn the heart shape over. In this way, the paper heart is folded.
