Butterflies are always welcomed and loved by everyone. This is because butterflies are not only beautiful, but also have beautiful symbolic meanings. Children also like looking at the butterflies flying in the sky, but they cannot play with them in their hands, so many children pester their parents to fold paper butterflies. Sometimes parents don't know how to fold paper butterflies. So today I will teach you how to fold paper butterflies. This paper butterfly is very simple and can completely assist children in completing origami.
Method/Steps
- 1Take out a square piece of paper and place it with the colored side facing down. Fold it in half and unfold it.
- 2Fold in half in the other direction, and then unfold.
- 3Fold in half along the two diagonals, and then unfold.
- 4Put this square piece of paper in front of you. From your point of view, it will not look like a rhombus but a square. Then fold both sides inward so that the two sides are folded on the center line crease.
- 5At this point place the short side of the origami model at your level (as shown in the picture). Pay attention to the diagonal creases in the upper left and upper right corners, then pinch up the top half of the origami model while holding down the other end of the paper with your other hand.
- 6Having picked up the upper part in the previous step, use two fingers to spread the upper part and fold it downward. Fold it into the center crease of the paper.
- 7Turn over the paper and fold the other side according to steps 5 and 6.
- 8Fold the top half of the origami paper downwards.
- 9Now the paper in your hand has been folded into a trapezoid model. Turn the entire trapezoid upside down.Keep its long side up. Then fold the top right corner down.
- 10Repeat the previous step on the left half as well.
- 11Check the parts folded from the previous step, and then fold the outer parts of these two parts inward. In this step, there are no creases to help you compare the position. You just need to make sure that the parts on both sides are of equal size.
- 12Fold the paper along the center line again.
- 13Pinch the paper butterfly model about one centimeter (half inch) from the center with one hand or as shown in the picture. Small piece of paper. At the same time, use your other hand to flatten the paper back on the wing part of the paper butterfly. Gently fold the origami with your fingers to create gentle creases, which will be the body of the paper butterfly.
- 14Your paper butterfly is done!
