Paper bag making tutorial
- Prepare your favorite paper. It will be made using pink stiff paper.
- Turn over to the back and fold in 1cm of edge.
- Fold in half to match the paste. Make it staggered inwards by about 1mm instead of perfectly overlapping.
- Slide the paper forward to the left and fold the corresponding width. Because its in a square shape, you'll snap the same width on the right gusset when folded. As shown below.
- Fold the center of both sides. Make it look like an hourglass on the side.
- Attach the folded bag to the pleats and lay them flat.
- At the bottom, fold the gusset horizontally about 1 cm wide.
- Continue folding the edges inward into a triangle. Coinciding the fold lines together so that the connecting lines look nice.
- Repeat the same operation on the other side.
- Align with the fold lines on the sides and attach a vertical crease at the bottom.
- Return to the hourglass shape of process "5".
- If you fold the crease (yellow line) firmly into the mountain fold in process "10", the next process is easy.
- Fold, unfold and fold using the creases you made earlier.
- Same on the other side.
- Collapse it.
- We will use the creases we made to secure the glued bottom.
- Same on the other side.
- Use glue on the white dotted line (white dotted line).
- Let the glue dry.
- Look at the surface from the side. There are no folding lines, very neat.
- Try standing it up like a bag.
- The inside looks like this. The handmade bag is finished.
