Sun Wukong is one of the characters in "Journey to the West" by Wu Cheng'en, a novelist from the Ming Dynasty in China. Sun Wukong, also known as Monkey King, is the great disciple of Tang Seng and the senior brother of Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng. It will change seventy-two times and soar into the clouds and mist. He has a pair of fiery golden eyes that can see through the disguises of monsters and monsters; he can turn a thousand miles with a somersault; he can use the Ruyi Golden Cudgel, which can be used to make big or small things, and can change as he pleases. He occupied Huaguo Mountain as the king and claimed to be the Monkey King. He fought with Tathagata Buddha and was trapped under the Five Elements Mountain for more than five hundred years. Later, under the enlightenment of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva, he protected Tang Monk from the West to retrieve the scriptures. After going through ninety-nine and eighty-one difficulties, he retrieved the true scriptures and finally achieved enlightenment. He was named the Victorious Buddha. It represents the ancient Chinese people’s feelings and pursuits of kindness, justice and perseverance.
