Li Jing, a character in the classical mythological novels "The Romance of the Gods" and "Journey to the West", lives in Chentangguan and has three sons and one daughter: Jin Zha, Mu Zha, Nezha and Zhenying. Later, he practiced Taoism and became an immortal, and was promoted to the immortal class. Because he often holds the exquisite pagoda in his right hand, he is also known as the "Pagoda Li Tianwang". His image characteristics are: wearing armor, wearing a golden-winged black crown, holding a tower in his left hand, holding a trident in his right hand, and can also use a sword.
In "The Romance of the Gods", his name is Li Jing. He was the commander-in-chief of Chentangguan in the late Shang Dynasty. He had three sons, namely Jin Zha, Muzha and Nezha.
Nezha caused trouble in the sea and accidentally killed the "Third Prince of the Dragon King", the third son of the Dragon King of the East China Sea. Li Jing forced Nezha to commit suicide in order to settle the matter, and later prevented the third prince of Nezha from being resurrected using a secret method. Later, with the help of Taiyi Zhenren, the third prince Nezha transformed into a lotus body and sought revenge on Li Jing. Li Jing was defeated. Fortunately, Taoist Randeng gave him an exquisite pagoda and trapped Nezha in the tower. Captured by the blazing Buddhas light, father and son reconciled.
Therefore, Li Jing was called the "Pagoda King Li". Later, Li Jing helped King Wu of Zhou and Jiang Ziya to defeat Shang Zhou and made great achievements. After becoming famous, he retired to the mountains and concentrated on practicing, and finally achieved enlightenment and ascended to heaven, ranking among the immortals.
