According to traditional experience, we all know that origami requires hard training based on interest to reach a certain level. This is just copying, but if you want to create your own origami works, it is even more important. It requires constant observation, pondering and study. But after Yang Yuzhen, a 78-year-old man from Nanchang, recovered from a serious illness, he miraculously acquired the skill of origami, and he could make it using discarded paper or cardboard after observing the real thing. It is really amazing!
78-year-old Yang Yuzhen unfortunately fell ill in 2003 and could only lie down in bed. But under the careful care of his family, he miraculously recovered. After watching the National Day military parade last year, Yang Yuzhen fell in love with origami and folded hundreds of lifelike models of tanks, aircraft carriers, etc. without any teacher. But now, the old man encountered a problem - collecting There was not enough scrap paper to make the model.
According to his wife Xie Caiying, in 2003, Yang Yuzhen suddenly suffered from multi-chamber cerebral infarction. He could not lift his head, could not move his hands and feet freely, and could only lie paralyzed in bed. At that time, a familiar doctor told Xie Caiying that her husband might only have 3 years left.
The doctors words were like a bolt from the blue to Xie Caiying. She and her wife have been together for decades. Are we about to separate now? "When I heard what the doctor said, I was shocked and determined to let him stand up again at all costs." Xie Caiying said: "From then on, I cooked black fungus, walnuts, soybeans and other foods that soften blood vessels every day. I give him food, and often mix some red beans, soybeans and mung beans together, and let him pick out the smallest mung beans, hoping to stimulate his brain nerves." Xie Caiying said: "Now in the summer, I will go with him Playing badminton and running, his physical condition is basically the same as that of ordinary people."
"When he watched the 60th anniversary military parade of the motherland last year, he suddenly became energetic." Xie Caiying said as he put out many paper models, and said: "So, he started origami, specifically folding some tanks , warships and chariots."
Then the reporter saw many lifelike paper models on a table, including artillery, pagodas, armored vehicles, pistols, warships, etc., especially a large aircraft carrier model. It was hard to believe that this was the work of a patient. And the most surprising thing is that Yang Yuzhen has never learned origami before.
When a reporter asked him how he folded these models, Yang Yuzhen said: "I came up with them all myself. People with a disease like mine just need to use their brains more."
“These works are made of some waste paper and advertising paper. We usually collect the materials on the street, and community leaders will send some waste paper to your door. But now, the waste paper that can be collected is getting more and more. With fewer and fewer visits, it is difficult to continue, and collecting materials is a big problem." Yang Yuzhen told reporters.
Then the reporter asked: "What kind of waste paper is needed to make such a model?" Yang Yuzhen said: "Cigarette boxes, medicine boxes, packaging boxes, advertising paper, material paper, etc. are all fine. I really want to continue folding them. Go down and enjoy your old age."
