The sculpture "The Thinker" by French sculpture artist Auguste Rodin is Rodins greatest masterpiece in his later years. In the early 20th century, it was regarded as a symbol of the power to transform the world. This statue was originally the main statue on the lintel of the group sculpture "Gates of Hell". Later Rodin made it into a separate statue.
