When I first learned the Rubiks Cube, I liked to put the base up to complete the cross. Later, I felt that turning it upside down like this affected the speed, but it was difficult to change my habit. Therefore, it is best for beginners to put the base down at the beginning. Some beginners may find this difficult. It is easier to learn the Rubiks Cube with the base up. The following introduces a method suitable for novices. Once you are familiar with this method and get used to the standard form with the bottom side down, you can further improve the speed of the cross. This method uses the white surface as the bottom surface.
1. Preparation: Understand what a cross is and learn a formula
Next, let’s learn a basic formula, let’s learn it step by step
This formula is simple, it only has the above four steps, and the connection is RuR'u'. This formula will be used in the last picture below.
2. Start to complete the cross
What should we do at this point? The basic formula we just learned can now make its debut! Use the formula again, and the white block will successfully reach the desired position at the bottom.
To summarize: there are only three situations for white blocks: 1. On the bottom, which is very simple; 2. On the top, which is not difficult; 3. On the side, it is a little more troublesome, but a simple formula can do it.
