Many friends who like succulents end up with only pitiful little flower pots left in the purchased succulents. Why not use crepe paper to "grow" cute little succulents in these small flower pots?
Tools & Materials
Green crepe paper, scissors, glue, green cardboard
1. Cut the green crepe paper into 25 paper strips with a size of 2cmX9cm and set aside. The size of the long paper strip does not have to be very precise, just master the length-to-width ratio of 3:1.
2. Follow the steps in the picture, twist the middle of the paper strip, and then fold it in half. (The tape in the picture is just for convenience to show the production process)
3. Use scissors to trim the leaves into a balloon shape.
4. Arrange the finished leaves so that they are sunken in the middle and raised at both ends. Divide the leaves into 4 groups, 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1 respectively.
5. Glue the leaves to the cut light green cardboard base.
6. Stick 9 pieces on the first layer, 7 pieces on the second layer, 5 pieces on the third layer, and 3 pieces on the fourth layer.
7. During the gluing process, pay attention to arranging the leaves so that their tails turn upward.
8. For the last piece, glue the two ends of the paper together to form a tube, and then glue it in the middle.
This is basically done.
You can also use other colors of crepe paper and repeat the same steps to try making different styles of succulents.
This is the final product. Let’s make use of all the empty flower pots at home.
