Micro-landscapes are plants such as moss and succulents, as well as various fences, sandstones, handmade figures, and animals put into a glass bottle to create an interesting scene.
Sharing a video tutorial on self-made micro-landscapes. The streams, shore rocks, etc. are all made with handmade materials, and the carvings are extremely realistic. If you are also a lover of micro-landscapes, you might as well try DIY!~
Material Tools:
Glass bowl
Gypsum
Acrylic paint
Artificial moss
PVA glue
Graving knife
Polyester fiber
Resin
1. Add the green acrylic paint to the plaster, stir and mix evenly.
2. Prepare a piece of white paper and roughly draw the shape of the rocks on both sides of the stream.
3. Then cut it out.
4. Take out the aluminum foil and make molds according to their shapes
5. Pour the gypsum into a mold made of aluminum foil and let it dry.
6. After the plaster is dry, take it out and use a carving knife to carve details.
7. This is a very patient work for the shape that needs to be made.
8. Now its time to color the rocks. For this I used lime and dark gray acrylic paint in a ratio of 1 part paint: 16 parts water.
Apply the mixed paint to the rock. Once dry, paint brown-grey color on the rock and leave it for about 10 hours.
Apply a mixture of PVA glue and water to the rock. The rocks are ready.
9. Take out the polyester fiber and color it. Use brown, black and green acrylic paints, mix well.
10. Dip all polyester fibers into color and leave to dry.
11. Cut to the required size and fix to the bottom of the glass bowl.
12. You can add a few more layers to make the desired height.
13. The bottom of the micro-landscape is finished.
14. Take out the artificial moss mat and cut a few small pieces.
15. Attach the moss block to the rock.
16. Now put the rocks into the glass container as well.
17. You can also use branches to make trees in micro-landscapes.
18. After the rock part is installed, it looks like this.
19. I used epoxy resin to make river water. Mix it well and pour it into a glass container.
20. Then use white acrylic paint to create a realistic look of the stream.
21. After the river is finished, you can put a few more small stones in the river.
22. I have completed the micro-landscape that I can easily complete. It looks very beautiful when placed, and it also gives me a sense of accomplishment. Friends, please give it a try~
