Illustrated tutorial on how to manually transform old tires into tatami cushions

Preparation materials: old tires, cloth, appropriate amount of wooden boards, cotton, appropriate amount of white latex, and needles.

1. One tire, wipe it clean.

2. Whiten the latex.

3. Wrap the cotton in a circle, fix it with needle and thread, wrap the surface cloth, and fix the shape with beading needles.

4. Tighten the needle and thread and sew.

5. Take a piece of round board, cut a few pieces of sponge, and then cut into 4 layers.Cotton, the thickness depends on personal preference, if you want it to be more comfortable, add more layers.

6. The surface fabric is larger than the board, so cut it and set aside.

7. Brush well. Of course, any glue will do. As long as it can be fixed, double-sided tape will also work.

8. Glue it well and place it on the table cloth. Don’t glue the table cloth this time.

9. Sew a circle along the surface fabric, tighten it, and fix it.

10. Cover it directly on the tire. I was too lazy to fix it on the tire, so I put it on it myself.

11. Use the excess fabric to make two matching pillows.

12. Done.
