After graduating from the textile design group of the Department of Textiles and Fashion at Fuzhou University, Taiwanese designer Apu Jan, who lives in the UK and obtained a masters degree in womens clothing from the Royal College of Art, has loved painting since he was a child. Although his family background is rich, he relied on his own strength to stand at London Fashion Week. As the main focus of this years 2015 spring and summer, Zhan Pu launched a series of designs with the theme of "Meeting a Sheep".
Going away from the past red, green and tender colors of early spring or lively summer, Zhan Pu uses a large number of different shades of blue to lead us directly to the cool sea or under a starry sky. In addition to fashion, Zhan Pus fashion releases often contain some meaning within his themes to convey his own central ideas.
The theme of this season is to project people into sheep and bring them into various stories with different styles. Zhan Pu said: "The theme of sheep actually echoes the clothes, just like the same clothes appear on different people. The feeling presented is different, so the clothing ultimately returns to the person himself."
The blue and white cardigan coat makes the whole person seem to be wrapped in the clouds from a distance.
The white shirt and the subtle blue rendering, the most eye-catching thing is the royal blue cuffs.
Short-fit long-sleeved jacket and high-waisted knee-length trousers, made from the same series of prints.
The use of different shades of blue brings out mysterious and beautiful patterns on white fabrics.
The totem woven in gray and light blue is complex but not dazzling.
ExceptIn addition to designs with printed patterns, there are also designs that are entirely presented in a single primary color.
One piece of placket close to the navel.
A short, flat-top style dress with rich and mysterious prints.
Although it is a two-part long dress, the totems still echo each other.
A black silk top embellished with blue stars, and a blue belt that looks like the Milky Way flowing around the waist.
A two-tone long knitted jacket that is as bright and low-key as a cape.
This spring and summer show Zhan Pu also worked together with Wu Ying, a print designer who has had previous cooperation experience. She used hand-painting and used blue as the main color to create many fantasy patterns.
A single set is purely a piece of clothing, but when the four sets are combined together, it turns into a painting. The shoes worn by the models this time were co-designed with Zhang Ruiqi, a designer graduated from the Royal College of Art, thus enhancing the completeness of this series.
In addition to the impressive design of the brand itself, the music of the show also has the finishing touch. This time, music producer Ying Qixuan and singer Yan Weiling collaborated to perform LIVE at London Fashion Week, using the beating of textile instruments to create refreshing fantasy music.
