Many mothers want to knit a sweater for their children, but there has never been a suitable tutorial. I saw many mothers asking in the craft club how to hand-knit a boys sweater and knitting patterns for a boys sweater. Here I will share with you moms an illustrated tutorial on how to knit a boy’s sweater and teach you how to hand-knit a boy’s sweater. Let’s learn together.
Illustrated tutorial on knitting sweaters for boys:
Collar: Use needle No. 13 to start 120 stitches, knit two rows of flat stitches, one row of upper stitches and three rows of flat stitches, then fold in half and knit together. This forms the machine edge. Knit 40 rows of double threads together, fold the collar inward, and use a crochet hook to merge and tuck it above the machine edge.
Setting up the body: Use the No. 9 needle to stitch along the row on the side of the machine and start picking the needle. Attached here is the needle number distribution:

The stem has 5 stitches because I used the Xiaoyan plus stitch method. Make two flat stitches on each side and one up stitch in the middle.
First pick up 54 stitches, and then knit back and forth, each timeKnit two stitches back. Keep knitting until there are 18 stitches left on the front collar, then pick it up all at once. This completes the selection of collars.
