How to knit diagonal striped bracelets
- 1Choose your rope. Determine at least 4 yarns of different colors. These yarns should be kept in their original state with six strands of yarn loosely wound together, and each piece should be cut to a length of about 60 centimeters.
- 2Start knitting. Grab the very ends of all the ropes and tie a small knot. Braid it into a braid about 7.5cm and then tie the second small knot. This will be tied to one end of your wrist. Use tape or pins to secure the knotted section to the table or the hem of your pants.
- 3Start knitting the stripe pattern. Lay the ropes flat, leaving some space between each rope. Starting from the left, tie a cross knot on each rope. Arrange the first rope into an "L" shape and cover the rope on its right to form anA "4" shape (as shown in the picture). Grab the end of the left rope and thread the bottom right rope into the loop formed by the left rope. Tighten both ropes above the rope to complete a knot.
- 4Continue knitting. Use the first rope you started with and continue tying knots with the rope on the right (the third rope) in the same way until you reach the last rope. When all the ropes are knotted, the first rope you started with should now be to your right. Go back to the left and repeat the above steps with the second rope you just knotted, continuing to tie knots with the right rope until it is on the far right. Eventually all four ropes will be knotted in turn with the other ropes. When the first rope returns to the left, start a new round of knotting until the length you need. Remember to pull the rope to the top when tying the knot, so that your finished product will be smooth and orderly.
- 5Complete the hand rope. Stop when the braided bracelet is enough to wrap around your wrist. Grab four pieces of rope and tie a knot at the end, then braid about 7.5cm in length and tie another knot. When you put the hand rope on, this section will be tied to the braid on the other end of the rope.
- 6Put on the hand strap. Tie the rope around your wrist and show it to everyone.
