The Chinese knot is a very classical knot that embodies great wisdom in Chinese handicrafts. Although it is not like the style elements of Chinese knots that are everywhere in our homes in ancient times, during the New Year and festivals, Chinese knots are very popular. If you have children at home, you can weave Chinese knots yourself to decorate your children’s clothes. The buckle is a very beautiful Chinese knot, and it is very practical. It can be sewn to clothes instead of ordinary buttons, or a pair of buckles can be woven to decorate a bag or a headdress, which is also very beautiful. Let’s take a look at the weaving method of a very beautiful and classic buckle.

First prepare two threads for braiding Chinese knots. Two No. 5 threads are used here. The initial braiding is a button knot, and the braiding thread is biased towards one end. Adjust the two ends of the line to about ten centimeters on one side and about 60 centimeters on the other side. Use the short end of the Chinese knot thread to make the middle axis, then start knitting with the long thread, and then fix it with a needle to facilitate the next knitting. Next, perform the second round of knitting, paying attention to the way you press the thread. Continue knitting for the third round, adjusting the thread while knitting so that it does not become uneven or twisted. When we knit to the fifth circle, the hole in the middle is already very small. At this time, we can thread the thread through this hole and pull it to the back. Use hot glue to secure the wire pulled to the back and cut off the excess wire. Next, use the same knitting method, but you don’t need to knit a button knot, just the ears. After knitting the other half, you can button the two parts together.

Step 1: Adjust the thread and make the knot ears smaller (note that the length of one thread is about 10cm, and the other is about 60cm longer) as shown below

Step 2: Use the short wire as a shaft and wrap the long wire around it, as shown in the picture
