Are your old newspapers piling up again? It’s not worth a lot of money if you sell it, and it takes up a lot of space if you keep it. Apart from cleaning the glass, what other uses are there for old newspapers? Today we will make a vase out of old newspapers.
Cut the newspaper into 4 parts horizontally, roll it diagonally from one side into small paper sticks (about 3 mm in diameter), and then determine the number of main branches according to the size of the vase you want to make (usually 11, 13, 15 branches) Thread thin wire into the main branch, and tie it into a tic-tac-toe shape in groups of 3. They should be pressed against each other, and then you can knit around the tic-tac-toe. After 3 or 4 turns, all the main branches can be evenly separated and continue. Braid until it reaches the size requirement at the bottom. Then you can stand the main branch up. Continue braiding. When you reach the end of the braid, cut off the excess and clamp it to the inside. You can spray it in various colors if you like.
Divide a newspaper into 4 parts horizontally, roll them diagonally from one side, and adjust to keep the thickness even.
Use glue to secure the end. After making N paper rolls in this way, you can start compilation.
Put 7 paper rolls through the center of the iron wire (one of them can pass through half of the iron wire), position them crosswise, and start winding from the paper roll with half the iron wire.
After 4 weeks of braiding, separate the paper rolls evenly and continue to braid a total of 13 main branches.
Weave up and down alternately around it. When the bottom diameter of the container is completed, the main branches can be erected.
Adjust the shape of the main branch according to your own preferences
Cut off the excess themes, and be sure to adjust the shape frequently when braiding, otherwise it will become crooked.
Clamp and trim the remaining main branches inside and outside, and you’re done!
