The use of rattan to weave various handicrafts is a traditional handicraft. Generally, it requires first growing the rattan, sorting and cleaning the rattan, and drying the rattan. Only one process can be completed to produce a handicraft.
What I want to share below is a tutorial on hand-weaving beautiful rattan storage baskets.
Although it seems difficult, if you study it carefully, you will find that it is not very complicated. It mainly uses collected rattan for weaving.
First cut some rattans of similar length and soak them in warm water for about an hour. After taking them out, remove all the water from the rattans. Remove.
What I show you here is a square storage basket,
The length and quantity of all the canes in the longitudinal and transverse directions are the same, and the length can be determined according to the size of the desired basket.
Arrange several rattans closely together and fix them with tape with words.
Start knitting the underside of the frame in staggered positions across the width, while interweaving the underside of the square.
The flexibility of rattan is very good, and it will not break no matter how you bend it.
Fold all the rattan at the bottom according to the above method, and start weaving the sides of the frame.
