Illustrated tutorial on using paracord to make a watch strap. I originally looked at it as an ordinary sports watch, but after changing the strap, it felt a little more masculine!
Preparation work: a watch, a small needle for removing raw ears, some paracord, a lighter, a pair of scissors, a pair of pliers, a pair of plastic buckles, and a pen.
First remove the watch strap and put the raw ears back on.
According to the width of the watch lugs, put on a few shorter paracords, the number of which can just cover the raw ears. I wear exactly six pieces on my watch, so that the raw ears can be covered.
Then thread a section of the plastic buckle on the rope, take another longer piece of paracord, and start weaving it around the previous six pieces. You can refer to the method of weaving a paracord bracelet on a certain treasure.
To save time, I directly sent a picture with one side braided halfway.
When braiding to the ear, cut all six short pieces of paracord into length, burn the head with a lighter, then braid a few more turns and braid the head inside.
Do the same thing on the other side. The last two strands of thread left behind are directly inserted from the back behind the already braided horizontal thread. After passing four or five threads, cut them off. Use a lighter to close the ends and clamp them flat with pliers. Its stuffed inside so it can't be seen from the outside.
When finished, be sure to measure the length when braiding so that it will fit just right after braiding.
This is my first time knitting, and I figured out this way of wearing it myself. It is a little different from the way of weaving paracord straps online. It can be considered an attempt. The editing is a bit ugly, haha. I will be able to edit it well when I become proficient in it.
Also, since I only had military green paracord on hand, I had to make do with it. In fact, black would go better with it.
