For the past 12 years, Kate Jenkins, a knitting artist from Brighton, England, has been making various interesting crafts with knitting, of which vegetables and seafood are the most popular.
In 2015, Jenkins completed her largest set of knitting works to date, making dozens of seafood from the ocean such as sardines, mussels, clams, shrimps, lobsters, and crabs.
Her inspiration comes from life. Always purchase the food you want to make before creating to get the exact proportions and texture.
Jenkins is currently preparing for her ongoing exhibition "Kates Place". The exhibition is named "Kates Bakes" and will open in May this year.Exhibited at the Barcelona Handicrafts Festival in September, the exhibition works include seafood, vegetables, wheat, etc.
She hopes to tour exhibitions around the world during her lifetime, including the worlds most famous cities such as London, Paris and New York.
Putting her works on the seafood counter can really deceive a lot of people!
In addition to seafood, Jenkins also uses knitting techniques to make breads, biscuits and other baked goods that are also lifelike.
This plate of sausage rolls costs 365 pounds (pound to renminbi is close to 1:9).
This pie looks like a dumpling, priced at 325GBP.
If you have plans to go to Barcelona in May, don’t forget to visit! Pangpangjiang is so envious!~
