With just a little wool, you can knit a beautiful coaster that looks like a somersault cloud! If you like wool knitting, you may have already mastered the knitting methods of sweaters, shoes, scarves, etc. Then complete the following This craft will be much easier!~
This wool coaster looks complicated, but in fact there are not many steps. Try it and it may give you a little surprise.
First we have to weave a long rope out of wool. This part is the most difficult and tedious, but you have to get it right.
Start by arranging the string into a loop (as if it were a pretzel), leaving one end on the left side. The short end will not be touched until we finish the coaster, but the longer part will always be used.
Insert the end of the long rope into the first rope of the loop and thread it from underneathPass.
Now you have made another loop on the lower right side. Pass the end of the rope through the upper right rope (the other half of the "pretzel" we formed at the beginning).
Then pass the end of the string under the lower side of the loop. We are making the basic shape of the knot.
At this point it should look like the picture above. Be careful not to squeeze the knot during this process and try to make all the spaces between the ropes as even as possible.
Insert the end of the rope into the loop we started with, exactly where the short end is.
You have completed the most complicated part!
The basic shape is already out, you just need to repeat the steps we did after the previous round of rope. You can see in the photo how the rope goes through the inside of the rope we've already threaded.
Follow the entire length of the rope again, placing the new wheels rope inside.
Second round of ropes completed. Repeat another round to fill in the middle knot.
After completing 3 rounds, hide the remaining rope in the back.
On the wrong side, knot the ends of the rope and cut them flush. You can add a drop of fabric glue to make sure it doesn't move.
Enjoy now, make yourself a cup of tea or a very strong cup of coffee and place it on your favorite handmade coaster~
