1. First choose watercolor paper of your favorite color.

2. Cut a regular pentagon template, trace it on watercolor paper, and draw a five-pointed star.

Inside the paper lanterns we always use flameless candles. This year I purchased some flameless candles on a six hour timer. I love them! To use them, turn them on when you want the six hours to start...5pm works well around here. They automatically power off after six hours and power back on after another 18 hours. They're perfect for holiday decorating...especially in fixtures that may be hard to reach.
