The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. Since ancient times, there have been activities such as dragon boat racing and eating rice dumplings. But you know, in some places there is still the custom of hanging lanterns during the Dragon Boat Festival! They believe that hanging lanterns on the Dragon Boat Festival can ward off evil spirits. We have prepared a super simple origami tutorial for Dragon Boat Festival lanterns for children, come and try it~
Prepare six pieces of square colored paper.
Fold diagonally and then expand.
Fold the four corners toward the center.
All six pieces of paper are treated like this.
In the picture below, the large flower part in the northeast is where the glue is applied.
Two pieces of paper are pasted together as shown below.
Paste the four pieces of paper together in sequence.
Apply glue to the colored part in the picture below.
Paste the leftmost triangle and the rightmost one.
Take out another piece of folded paper and stick double-sided tape on the four corners.
Paste to the bottom.
Take out the last piece of paper, thread a string through the middle, and tie a knot on the back.
Turn it over and apply glue on all four corners.
Paste to the top of the lantern.
Tie the other end of the rope to the disposable chopsticks, and a simple version of the Dragon Boat Festival lantern is ready.
