DIY tutorial for hand-making cute and beautiful Lucky Cat switch sticker decorations from non-woven fabrics

I have always wanted to make a switch sticker for the switch in the foyer, so I browsed some non-woven switch stickers on the Internet and fell in love with this cute Lucky Cat at first sight, so I decided to make my own Lets "copy" one. Although the graphics are not original, we still enjoy the joy of handicrafts!

Materials and tools needed to make DIY non-woven lucky cat switch stickers:

Non-woven fabric, tools required: scissors, needle and thread, eraser pen, cardboard, pencil, eraser, alcohol glue.

Non-woven Lucky Cat Switch Sticker DIY Steps and Methods:

Step 1:

Find the non-woven fabric corresponding to the color of the picture, and draw a circle with a diameter of about 24 cm with a disposable pen (I drew it directly with the lid of my pot, you can use a compass to draw it first) on the cardboard, and then use a water-erasable pen to draw on the non-woven fabric) The bottom light yellow non-woven fabric is just for lining. An extra layer will make it thicker, and I can sew the cats head and tail between the two pieces of fabric. After all, there is only one ring left on the top layer

Step 2:

According to the size of the switch, dig out the switch position in the center of two pieces of yellow non-woven fabric. Pay attention to it being slightly smaller than the switch. This way the switch can be firmly stuck without using anything else. Its reinforced with glue to avoid damaging the wall

Step 3:

Draw the circle and the square in the middle with the eraser pen and cut them out

Step 4:

The copper plate is basically completed

Step 5:

First, use a pencil to draw the cats head, cats tail, and cats paws on the cardboard. I really don't have the art skills to draw directly on the non-woven fabric, so I use a stupid method to draw on the paper first. After adjusting the size, place the outline on the non-woven fabric. Now that the outline is ready, you can determine the eyes, nose, and spots on the non-woven fabric.

Step 6:

Draw the cat head on the non-woven fabric (you can use double-layer fabric, so it is thick). The next step is needlework. Find the color that corresponds to the original picture, and then sew it on. Of course you can use alcohol glue, but I don’t. My principle is to use thread without glue, haha. Meow Meow’s eyes and beard are all sewn on with black thread. I think the most difficult part is the mouth, so I cut off a small piece. Red, and then sew the edges densely with small stitches so that they can be fixed. I was so happy during the sewing process that I forgot to take pictures

The pink cheeks will not look good with stitches, so just glue them with alcohol. The cat head is basically completed. By the way, the reason why the cat body is left so big is I plan to finally sew the cat body into the copper plate

Step 8:

The outline of the cat tail is still laid on the non-woven fabric first. It is necessary to lay out two pieces of cat tail, and at the same time, there is also a little edge, because the two pieces need to be sewn together in the end. together, then turn it over, and put cotton inside to increase the three-dimensional effect. Before sewing, sew the brown spots on one piece first, so that it will be more perfect when turned over. Of course, it is not easy to turn over, so you have to be patient and stuff it in at the end. Cotton

When it’s time for the cat’s paws, I also step on the cloth with a water-disposable pen. Leave two pieces of cloth on each paw, sew them, turn them over, and finally stuff them with cotton. One of the small paws has a Spots, the same method as the tail

Step 10:

The next thing I felt the most crazy about was how to arrange the words "recruit wealth and treasure". I still used the old method, first determine the size of the words on the cardboard, Then I used the patience to draw and constantly revised it, and then I basically "copied" the original picture. This process only took half a day. After the template was typed, the next step was to stamp the characters and then cut them out. Because the characters were too small, so You need to use small scissors that are more convenient for paper-cutting

Step 11:

Every component is completed, and the next step is to assemble. The cats head and tail need to be sewn with thread to make them stronger. Use alcohol glue to "bring in wealth" Just stick it on

Step 12:

Finally, glue the brown "copper plate center" in the middle of the copper plate with alcohol glue, and you're done! I put it on the switch in the foyer as soon as I entered the door to "attract wealth" for me, haha
