- Prepare the fabric to be folded and placed on the table, cut the cardboard in the shape of the picture below, and draw a pattern on the fabric.
- Refer to the picture below to draw the fabric cutting pattern.
- Cut the fabric with seam allowance as shown in the photo.
- The cropping effect is shown in the figure below.
- The finished cut will look like this.
- Unfold the fabric (back side).
- Use an iron to iron the seams flat.
- At the same time, fold the left and right ends of the fabric inward to the front and use an iron to iron it flat.
- Turn it over and it will look like this. Now the front part is ready.
- We will also make the lining part the same way. Cut out the shape by folding the pattern paper onto the "lining fabric". Pay attention to leaving a seam allowance.
- Sew the curved part. Similar to step "2", sew extension 7 to 8 mm.
- Unfold the fabric (back side).
- To make rubber band perforations, you need to reserve 1.5 cm of fabric.
- Fold as shown below.
- Take the upper and lower seam allowances 1 cm wide and cut.
- Lay out the fabric (back side) and iron it flat through the middle seam.
- Leave 1.5cm at both ends (just like the solid lines of the paper pattern) for cutting.
- Use an iron to flatten it. Now the inner fabric is ready.
- Stack the front fabric and lining fabric.
- Sew from the end of the inner fabric to the edge, top and bottom.
- Sew the overlap of the inner fabric, top and bottom.
- Next, sew the reserved rubber band holes at both ends.
- At 4 locations in the photo (about 5 mm from the end), perform sutures (yellow line locations).
- From the overlapping part, flip to the front.
- As shown in the picture below, it is turned back to the front.
- Suture back to the opening (red line) and complete through the rubber band.
- The cute three-dimensional protective mask is hand-made. If you like it, come and try it.
