Scent sachets can repel mosquitoes and ward off evil spirits in many ways. Filling some mosquito repellent materials in sachets in summer can also repel mosquitoes very well. The editor of the production department will share with you how to make small spice bags of different sizes!
How to do it:
Making normal size sachets
- Prepare a piece of fabric 20 cm long x 10 cm wide.
- Fold forward half way. You can use an iron to create creases.
- Fold 3.5cm from the top, align the two sections and fold down.
- As shown in the photo, draw a trapezoid with an upper side of 7 cm and a lower side of 3 cm.
- Next, sew both ends with a sewing machine as shown in Figure 4. Trim off the excess fabric on both sides.
- Flip back from the top of the overlap.
- As shown below.
- Turn it over to the front and you will see a small trapezoidal cloth pocket. Next you can add the spices and seal it.
- Fold three layers at the mouth of the bag, like the yellow line in the picture below, and then prepare a red rope.
- Tie the fold with red rope. (The red rope product is embroidery thread.)
- Tie with red thread to create a bow knot effect.
- The small sachet bag about 6 cm long x 3.5 cm wide is completed. .
Mini size sachet making
- Prepare a thin piece of fabric 10 cm long x 5 cm wide, fold it in half from the top down, and fold the edge 1.5 cm.
- Sew both sides with a seam allowance of 1 cm.
- Cut off the excess fabric on both sides and turn it back to the front. At this point you can fill the sachet with spices.
- Prepare a string and a bell, and thread the string through the bell.
- Fold the mouth of the sachet together.
- Tie the prepared small rope with the bell.
- The mini-sized sachet is now ready (the size of a stamp). This is the detailed tutorial for making handmade spice bags of different sizes. Let’s try it quickly
