Minion pillowcase DIY tutorial:

Step 1: Cut out the main pillowcase

Take out the yellow cotton fabric and cut out two main pillowcase pieces that are 31 inches long and 21 inches wide. During the cutting process, you must cut carefully to cut a perfect straight line. For this, a rotary cutting machine and a ruler can help you very well.

Step 2: Cut out the strips of cloth used to place the Minion’s eyes

On the black fabric, cut two strips of fabric 21 inches long and 3 inches wide. Then fold both strips inward about 1/2 inch along the long side and press them flat.

Step 3: Sew the pieces of cloth for the Minion’s eyes

Approximately 10 inches from the long side of the two pillowcase samplesPlace the cloth strips for placing the eyes in each place, remembering to keep the folded side down. Then insert straight needles on the long side of the fabric strip, about 1/8 inch from the edge, and slowly sew it up.

Step 4: Cut out the eyes

First lay out the white cotton cloth, place a small bowl (mine is about 4 inches in diameter), and trace a round eye shape along the edge of the bowl. Repeat twice and then use scissors to cut out the white circle.

Take out the yellow cotton cloth, fold one side of the cotton cloth in half, place it with the center of the bowl facing the folds, and then use scissors to cut the fabric along the edge of the bowl to get the fabric for the eyelids. When finished, set the fabric aside with it still folded in half.

Next, cut out two circles about 1-1.5 inches in diameter on the brown cotton cloth to use as the irises for the minions eyes. I traced the cut using the bottom of the spool. If you want to be more detailed, use black cotton to cut out two black circles about 0.5 inches in diameter to serve as eye pupils.

Step 5: Sew the Minion’s eyes

First, select a suitable position on the white circle fabric used to make the eyeball, place the brown fabric used as the iris, and then sew it. In order to sew tightly, one stitch should be long and one stitch should be short. The same is done for the pupils. During the sewing process, in order to avoid sewing trouble, you can first use some fabric adhesive to bond the fabrics together. If necessary, you can sew them twice to prevent them from falling off.

Then place the yellow fabric used as eyelids on top of the white fabric so that it just overlaps, insert a straight needle into it, and finally sew a straight line at the fold. If necessary, you can add a rough stitch to the upper bend of the eyelid.

Step 6: Cut out the Minion’s goggles

Take out the gray cotton cloth, fold it in half, and then place a medium-sized bowl (mine is about 7 inches in diameter) on the folded side. Remember to protrude the folded edge, about 1/2 inch. Thats it. Then cut it along the edge of the bowl.

Finally, put a small bowl, remember to be smaller than the bowl just now (I used one with a diameter less than 4 inches, about 3.5 inches, it just fits), and place it directly in the middle. Then carefully cut out the inner circle along the edge of the bowl.

After cutting, place only the outer layer of the fabric used as goggles directly on the Minions eyeballs made earlier. Remember to cover the eyeballs inside.
