Step 1 of making handmade DIY leaf-shaped bag:
Size: 12 *20cm usage: can be used as coin purse, clutch bag. It can also be used to store needles, threads, awls and other small items. If you like it, it would be nice to make a few more pieces as wall decorations and coasters! Difficulty: Beginner

Trace on the base fabric according to the drawing.
Step 3 of making DIY leaf-shaped bag:
Place the paper pattern on the back of the fabric and trace. It should be noted here that because each piece of paper pattern is an asymmetrical figure, the paper pattern must be turned over, that is, the front side should be traced face down. This leaf packet is composed of two symmetrical leaves on side A and side B. In the picture above, I directly used the paper pattern on side A to make the leaves on side B, so the right side is facing up. Also, there are many and small pieces of paper here, so it’s easy to mess them up, so it’s best to mark the order.

Add 0.3~0.5cm seam allowance for cutting and patching.

Handmade DIY leaf-shaped small bag, the first patch is facing the front of the base fabric, fix the two ends of the straight line, and sew with a flat stitch.

Turn the first piece of patch upward, smooth the seam, and fix it with a beading needle. Sew the second piece of patch using the same method as above.

Turn the second patch down, fold in the lower seam, and align the seam with the line drawn on the base fabric. Follow the same method and sew the lower patch in sequence with flat stitches.

Cut a 1.8cm wide strip of fabric at a 45 degree bias, and use a 0.9cm tape maker to iron the leaf veins.

Use a beading needle or lipstick glue to fix the leaf veins to the prepared half of the leaf, and then sew. ps: Lipstick glue is quite easy to use~
