Sometimes when you make a needle plug by yourself, it is not necessarily for use, but for the feeling of making it and the good mood of owning it. Pumpkin needlework is made with traditional Chinese embroidery. If you like it, just learn it~
1. Choose plain cotton and linen cloth of suitable size and embroider flower branches on it.
2. Draw a circle around the embroidered flower.
3. Leave a seam allowance outside the circle. Find another piece of dark cotton and linen cloth and cut out a circle of the same size, then sew the front sides of the two pieces of cloth opposite each other along the previously drawn circle, leaving a gap.
4. Turn it over to the front, stuff in cotton, and sew the back seam.
5. Prepare a long needle and thread double strands of white cotton thread.
6. Poke the needle through the center of the base fabric where the needle is inserted (you can pull the thread up hard, so that the knot will enter the cotton and cannot be seen from the outside), and then poke it from the front of the needle inserted from the front Poke the needle into the base fabric at a position of 2mm, and pull the thread hard. At this time, a concave shape will appear in the middle of the needle insertion, and the three-dimensional effect will appear. Then poke the needle from the base fabric back to the surface fabric.
7. As shown in the picture below, wrap the thread around the periphery of the needle insert, poke the needle from the needle eye of the base fabric back to the surface fabric, and divide the needle insert into 8 parts with thread in the same way. A beautiful pumpkin shape appears. At this time, tie a small knot on the base fabric and poke the needle and thread back into the top fabric.
8. Sew a beautiful button or bead in the middle of the table cloth, and a complete pumpkin stitch is completed.
