Materials for puff sleeve top:
Two pieces of body, 52×45 cm;
Sleeves 2 pieces, 50×14 cm;
1 piece of hem, 150×16 cm;
1 piece of elastic band at the neckline, 0.5×75 cm;
2 cuff elastic bands, 0.5×20 cm;
2 ribbons (used to make holes for cuff elastic bands), 1×50 cm.
Steps to make puff-sleeved tops:
1) The top and side edges of the hem and hem fabric are curved and seamed, and then the top edge is shrink-stitched to 99 cm, giving it a ruffle shape.
2) Hem the sides of the body fabric, and then sew. When sewing, leave 18 cm of cuffs unsewed at the upper end. Unfold the seams and iron them flat.
3) Face the front of the body and hem, align the lower edge, fix with a beading needle, sew the lower edge, and then unfold and iron the seams.
4) Fold the top fabric piece in half left and right, and sew it into the main body of the dress, leaving 18 cm of cuffs unsewed on the upper end. Fold the lower edge in three parts (fold 0.5 cm), then sew a circle along the lower edge.
5) Hem the sides of the sleeve fabric, fold the lower edge in three parts (fold 0.5cm) and sew.
6) Place the ribbon on the back of the sleeve, 0.7 cm away from the bottom of the sleeve, and press and sew two lines to fix it. The space between the two lines serves as the hole for the cuff elastic band.
7) Place the cuffs on the upper left side of the front piece of clothing, facing each other, sew the left edge, and then rotate the right edge of the cuffs to the left edge of the back piece of clothing.
8) Use the same method to sew the other cuff to the right side of the front and back pieces of the garment, as shown in the picture.
9) Sew a full circle around the edges of both cuffs.
10) Fold the neckline of the dress into three parts (fold 1.5cm), sew two lines, and use the space between the two lines as a hole for the elastic band of the neckline. Finally, insert the elastic band to complete the puff-sleeved top.
