DIY home slippers materials:
Half a yard (0.5 meters) of cotton fabric, used to make the upper layer of slippers;

Use half a yard of fabric to make the lining of slippers. If you are making slippers for summer, you can use cotton with better breathability. If you are making slippers for winter, you should choose cloth with better warmth, such as wool, felt, etc.
DIY home slippers steps:
First we need to measure the size of our feet. Put the flip-flops you wear on daily basis on the cloth to draw the outline of the slipper sole. Then spread the cloth on the ankle and draw the shape of half of the instep. Then fold the cloth in half and the cut out area will be the spread area of ??the instep. . Note that you need to leave room for sewing, about 1/4 inch.
Cut two slipper shapes from the outer fabric and the inner lining fabric., as shown in the picture, and then cut three pairs along the outline of the flip-flops, one pair is the upper fabric of the slippers, one pair is the breathable cotton cloth, and the other pair is the bottom of the slippers.
Stap the outer fabric of the sole and the inner lining fabric together and sew along the edges. Sew the opening of the lining fabric of the upper as shown and put the right sides together. Attach the lining to the sole and sew along the edges.
Now sew the tail of the outermost fabric of the slippers, aligning the right sides. Fold it, sew the upper end of the outer layer to the outer lining, align the right sides, and tack in the reserved place for sewing, because there will be holes in the fabric or leather. After sewing, trim off the raw edges.
Take the slippers out without bending the material to avoid leaving marks. Please note that the outside of the slippers is plaid cloth, the lining is felt cloth, and the bottom is non-slip cloth.
Put the turned shoes into the sewn lining, fix it with pins, sew on the outside, and finally leave a space at the slipper opening for easy removal later.
Pull the lining out of the right side opening, being careful not to break the stitching, so the two pieces now look like two identical pieces.
Push the lining part into the shoe shell, sew the previous opening, and you are done~ These steps may seem a bit complicated to repeat.
