The plump fabric owl is handmade. The body of the owl is stitched together from two pieces of fabric, and the eyes are DIY made of felt, buttons, beads and other materials. This fabric doll can be made into various sizes, small ones can be used as hanging ornaments, and large ones can be used as pillows or cushions. For specific DIY methods, please refer to the graphic tutorial below.
How to make fabric owl:
1) Choose two fabrics of different colors (cotton, non-woven fabric, or linen are all acceptable) and cut them into two triangles with curved edges. The big triangle is the back of the fabric owl, and the small triangle is the belly.
2) Stack the front sides of the two triangle pieces opposite each other, align the right edges, and then sew, as shown in the picture.
3) Fold the large triangle in half along the central axis, align the left side of the small triangle with the left side of the large triangle, and sew the left edge. When sewing, sew the left and right edges of the upper part of the large triangle as well.
4) Use scissors to cut some gaps in the seam allowance of the fabric, and then turn the fabric right side out.
5) Sew a circle around the lower part of the owl, stuff the cotton in, then tighten the suture, and tuck all the scraps from the lower part into the body. (If the underside of the owl looks untidy, you can also sew a small piece of garden cloth)
6) Finally, use felt, buttons or beads to make eyes and stick them on the head, and decorate the corners of the mouth with colored threads.
