Homemade bellyband-style vest, suitable for hot summer wear. The vest fabric is made of sweet and soft printed cotton material, with a large open back design and a ribbon bow hanging around the neck, making it look cool and cute. The production method is also very simple. The main body of the dress is only composed of two rectangular pieces of cloth sewn together. Materials required for DIY vest:
1) Front body cloth piece 50×48 cm;
2) Back body fabric piece 50×30 cm;
3) Ribbon 150×1 cm;
4) Elastic band 35×1 cm.
How to make a DIY vest:
1) Hemming on both sides of the front body piece;
2) Seam both sides of the back body piece, and then make a circle of elastic band holes on the upper edge by folding 0.5 cm inward, then folding 1.5 cm inward, sewing and leaving 1.2 cm elastic band openings at both ends. .
3) Place the front and back pieces of fabric facing each other, align the lower hem, and sew both sides. Then fold the hem 0.5 cm inward and 1 cm inward, and perform overlock seaming.
4) Expand the seam allowance between the front body and the back body, and sew a circle along the dotted line as shown in the picture. Do this with the seams on both sides.
5) Pass the elastic band through the opening at one end of the back of the vest and out the opening at the other end, then sew 2-3 fixing lines on the elastic bands at both ends. Make a ribbon hole in the front of the vest by folding it inward by 0.5 cm, then folding it in by 1 cm and sewing it in place, then use a hairpin to insert the ribbon into the hole.
6) Finally, tie a beautiful bow on the back of the neck to complete the DIY production of a bellyband-style vest.
