Tutorial on how to make a childrens sundress. Depending on the thickness of the fabric, it can be made into a single dress in spring and summer or a sundress jacket in autumn and winter. For specific DIY methods, please refer to the illustrated tutorials and text instructions below.
Vest skirt DIY materials:
Print cotton 120 x 90 cm.
Zipper in same fabric color 25cm.
DIY cutting of sundress:
Fold the fabric in half, as shown in the picture, and cut out 2 pieces for the body, 1 piece for the skirt, and 4 strips of diagonal fabric.
DIY steps for sundress:
1) Make pleats at the waist of the skirt. The upper edge of the skirt is basted with needlework and the pleats are drawn out.
2) Sewing the body. Lay the two pieces of body fabric facing each other and sew the two sides.
3) Sewing the body and skirt. The front of the bodice and skirt are stacked relative to each other. The waistline is aligned and then sewn and fixed. After the bodice and skirt are unfolded, a decorative line is sewn.
4) Install a zipper on the back centerline of the tank top.
5) Cuffs welted. Welt the cuffs with a bias strip.
6) Neckline welt. Same as cuff welting.
