How to make an embroidered dress for children. Of course, girls who like it can also enlarge it and wear it themselves. On the pure white cotton neckline, a beautiful rainbow pattern is embroidered as a decoration.
Materials for making embroidered dresses for young children:
The upper body of the dress: 1 piece of rectangular fabric 14 inches wide and 15 inches high;
Dress skirt: 2 pieces of rectangular fabric 16 inches wide and 14.5 inches high;
White sewing thread, colored embroidery thread (red, pink, yellow, cyan, blue).
How to make embroidered dresses for children:
1) Fold the upper body fabric in half, draw a semicircular neckline as shown in the picture, and then cut off the semicircle;
2) Combine 3 strands of red embroidery thread into 1, and embroider a circle around the neckline with a hemming seam. The embroidery method is similar to a buttonhole, and the stitch length is about 1/4 inch;
3) Combine 3 strands of pink embroidery thread into 1, and embroider a circle of 1/4-inch diagonal line on the outside of the hemming seam;
4) Then use yellow, cyan, and blue threads (same as 3 strands in 1) to embroider diagonal lines to complete the rainbow neckline sewing;
5) Make fine pleats in the middle of the upper edge of the skirt fabric so that the width of the upper edge changes from 16 inches to 14 inches;
6) The two pieces of skirt are sewn together with both sides of the upper body fabric, as shown in the picture;
7) Fix the sides of the dress with beading stitches, and sew the rest except the cuffs, with a seam allowance of 1 inch;
8) Fold the side seams inward by 1/2 inch on both sides, then fold inward by 1/2 inch, secure with a beading needle, and sew a topstitch with red embroidery thread on each side;
9) The lower edge of the dress is also folded in three and then embroidered with a circle of red topstitch to complete the production of the embroidered dress for children.
