This tutorial for making New Year paper lanterns uses tissue paper, which is double-thickened to make the texture of the tissue paper thicker. A simple origami paper lantern looks like a pile of flames. It is very beautiful and can be learned by children~
1. Prepare colored tissue paper.
2. Then prepare white latex for two-color pasting. If your paper material is relatively thick, you can skip this step.
3. Use a brush to apply the white latex evenly onto the tissue paper.
4. While the white latex is not dry yet, cover it with another layer of tissue paper.
5. After it is slightly dry, iron the paper flat with an iron.
6. Cut the processed paper into a 2×8 cm rectangle, and then fold the top edge down slightly.
7. Fold it twice in a row to form a three-layer structure and rotate it 180 degrees.
8. Use scissors to cut it, fold off the small corners, and paste it with white latex to fix it.
9. Cut 8 rectangular pieces of paper of 2×3 cm and 2×4 cm respectively, and fold them as shown in the picture below.
10. Fold both sides to the middle and fix with glue.
11. First paste the 2×3 cm paper onto the folded structure completed in step 8.
12. Paste the 2×4 cm paper onto the structure completed in the previous step in the same way.
13. Finally, connect them end to end, paste them with white latex, and the beautiful paper lantern is folded.
