Leopards are solitary and usually live alone. They lurk in trees or caves during the day and start to swim out at dusk. They run around and rest until dawn. In places where food is abundant, the range of activities is relatively fixed. When food is scarce, they often move for tens of kilometers. Leopards usually do not have a fixed nest and often crawl to relatively small places when resting. On tall trees, they choose to climb and lie on forked and horizontal branches.
