I don’t love the spring when a hundred flowers bloom, it is too delicate and beautiful; the vibrant summer, I don’t like it. I don't like it either, because it is too cold. I don't like the snow-covered winter either. Only autumn, the autumn with fallen leaves, is my favorite.
Whenever summer leaves with people’s irritability, autumn comes to us again with light steps. What attracted me to her was not the joy of the harvest, but the silently falling leaves. Mother Autumn brought a fluffy tawny "cloak" to the cold-resistant magnolia leaves; a yellow "sweatshirt" to the slender willow leaves; and a yellow "sweatshirt" to the elegant maple leaf girl. Here comes a hot red "dress".
I walked in the woods, looking for the "gifts" that "autumn" brings to the world.
I was walking and accidentally looked up: a thick ginkgo tree with withered leaves. Huh? There are still a few yellow butterflies chasing and playing in front, floating slowly to the earth. I reached out my hands and caught it. Hey, it turns out to be the child of the ginkgo tree - the ginkgo leaf. It looks like a fan. The original green leaves have begun to turn yellow, and the dark yellow veins are connected to the petioles. I blew on it gently, and it slipped down my hand and returned to the place where it really belongs - the embrace of Mother Earth.
I continued to walk forward, stepping on the thick leaves under my feet, making a crisp sound of "click-----click". The leaves were soft and comfortable when I stepped on them. There is a feeling of "passing like the quiet beauty of autumn leaves", "not spring, but better than spring".
Just as I was intoxicated, a bright red maple leaf on the ground not far away aroused my interest.
So, I gently walked over and picked it up, held it in my hands, and looked at it carefully. After being hit by autumn frost, the color of the leaves is difficult to express in words. It is deep red, dark red, red but not red, green but not green, red mixed with green, green with red. In short, it contains various levels. Although there are many colors of red and green, Miss Qiu blends them in an extremely harmonious way. If one point is more, it will be too bright, and if one point is less, it will be too light. This is difficult for any painter to achieve. The maple leaf is like a small palm, and each finger is covered with serrations. The end of the leaf is very red and pointed, as if once it is punctured, the red color in the leaf will flow out. Its leaf veins are very clear, extending from the petiole to the leaves, like an interesting painting. I got closer and smelled it, hey, the fragrance of the leaves is also mixed with the fragrance of earth. Looking into the distance, there is a maple forest! Seeing this scene, I can't help but think of the poem by Du Mu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, "Stop and sit in the maple forest at night, the frost leaves are as red as the February flowers."
The autumn wind rustled, and a scene of "autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves" appeared in front of me. The rolled leaves are like waves in the sea, layer upon layer, undulating.
I stood for a while in the "rustling" wind. Involuntarily open your arms, close your eyes, feel the warmth of nature, and breathe the breath of nature. A strange but wonderful emotion arose in my heart.
Gradually, gradually, I seemed to understand something.
"Falled leaves are not heartless things, they turn into spring mud to protect flowers." In the howling autumn wind, fallen leaves rustled to the ground. The setting sun gently paints them with a layer of golden color; the drizzle slowly baptizes them for the last time. So, they left the tree trunks that had been with them all spring and summer. Are they no longer attached to the branches of autumn? Do they just like to wander alone? No, no. They fell down, turned into dust, and were buried in the dust. In fact, it is in their own decline that they feel the vitality from the earth and the breath of the coming spring. The reason why they don't feel any sadness or desolation is because they deeply understand that what they dedicate to humans will be green life, green ocean, and green hope. After all, they decorate the beauty of spring, they give shade of summer.
