The baobab tree, also known as the baobab tree, hozen tree or acid gourd tree, is a large deciduous tree with a short trunk and many branches. The baobab tree has a huge crown with strange branches that resemble tree roots. The tree shape is spectacular and the fruit is as big as a football. It is sweet and juicy. It is the favorite food of monkeys, orangutans, elephants and other animals. When its fruits are ripe, monkeys come in groups and climb the tree to pick the fruits to eat. This is where the name "baobab tree" comes from. Baobab trees are distributed in Africa, islands in the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and northern Australia. The wood of baobab trees is porous, and bullets can penetrate the trunk if fired.
